What is PDF-X4?

PDF X-4 is simply a PDF that follows a set of standards for established industry workflows. There are a number of PDF X variants, as a commercial sheet fed digital printer, the best fit for our workflow is PDF X-4.

We highly recommend exporting your PDF with PDF X-4 settings. These settings are not a requirement, but by sending a PDF X-4 compliant file, we can assure the most accurate conversion of your files to our workflow. PDF X-4 settings can be found in common design programs such as Adobe Suite, Affinity Suite, and Quark. Software such as Microsoft Office and Canva do not support X-4 standards, but in most cases we are able to successfully process these files.
